Shapes called Bricks fall, one at a time,fromthe top of the playing field to the bottom. Bricks arecomprised of4 squares arranged into 7 different patterns. Theobject of thegame is to keep the blocks from piling up to the topof the playingfield. To do this, the player must move and rotatethe Bricks asthey fall, attempting to fit them together. If theplayer cancompletely fill one horizontal line with colored squares,that linedisappears and any filled squares above move down. If theplayer isunable to fill lines completely, the Bricks will stack upandeventually reach the top of the playing field. The game endswhen anew tetrad that is placed at the top of the playing field isunableto drop at all due to the filled blocks.NOTE: To help the skilled player plan better moves, thenextboard to fall is typically shown somewhere on the screen.Whichblocks appears next is determined by a random numbergenerator.
